The city of Charlotte has a lot to offer. From great food, plenty of green space, and beautiful architecture, Queen City is a great place to live.

However, with so many neighborhoods and so many different places to rent homes in Charlotte, NC, it can be hard to know where exactly you should settle down—especially if you’re new to the area or just visiting for the first time.

English Gardens/Providence Commons

English Gardens/Providence Commons is a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is home to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).

The neighborhood is close to many restaurants and shops, including the Light Rail station of the same name. It also has easy access to I-485 and I-77.

Barclay Downs

Barclay Downs is one of the best neighborhoods in Charlotte, NC. It has close proximity to uptown and South End. The neighborhood is also home to some nice restaurants and shopping options nearby.

The homes in this neighborhood are well maintained, but they can be expensive due to their location near uptown, which has higher property values than other neighborhoods on the east side of Charlotte.

Third Ward

The Third Ward is a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s named after the Third Ward of Charlotte, which was originally located where this neighborhood stands today.

The Third Ward is predominantly residential and is home to the BB&T Ballpark, home of the Charlotte Knights baseball team.

The neighborhood is bordered by Central Avenue on the north, Tyvola Road on the south and East Boulevard on the east.

It is primarily residential with a commercial area along East Boulevard, including restaurants and shops. The BB&T Ballpark is located in this neighborhood which hosts Charlotte Knights games during baseball season.

Fourth Ward

The Fourth Ward is a great place to live. It’s close to Uptown, Plaza Midwood, and NoDa, which means you’ll be able to enjoy all of the restaurants, bars, and shops these areas have to offer.

The Fourth Ward also has its own unique vibe that makes it stand out from other neighborhoods in Charlotte. The neighborhood is very walkable, with lots of green space for children and pets to play in (if you have them).

South End

The South End is a great neighborhood to rent a home in. It has all the perks of uptown and downtown but with less traffic and more space. The area is close to major highways, public transportation, and major universities.

The South End has an abundance of restaurants, bars, and nightlife options that make it an ideal place for young professionals or those looking for an exciting urban lifestyle.
