WordPress Plugins are just like Lego blocks. You can make them do anything you want with a little creativity and the right imagination. And the accessiBe WordPress plugin is no exception to this rule.

With a few simple tweaks, you can make the accessiBe plugin work better for your website visitors. This article will show you how to customize the accessiBe plugin to make your website more accessible.

What does accessiBe do?

First things first, let’s look at what the accessiBe plugin can do. By default, the plugin adds an accessibility toolbar to your website. This toolbar provides various tools and features that make it easier for people with disabilities to use your website.

The toolbar includes a number of features, including:

  • A keyboard navigation shortcut
  • A zoom feature
  • A color contrast checker
  • A text resizer

How to customize the toolbar

The toolbar is customizable, so you can choose which features you want to include. To customize the toolbar, go to the accessiBe plugin settings page and scroll down to the “Toolbar” section.

You can select which features you want to include in the toolbar. Simply check the boxes next to the features you want to include, and uncheck the ones you don’t want.

You can also choose where the toolbar appears on your website. By default, it appears at the bottom of your website. But you can also choose to have it appear at the top or in a fixed position on the left or right side of your screen.

To change the position of the toolbar, select the “Position” drop-down and choose your preferred option.

How to change the colors of the toolbar

The colors of the toolbar are also customizable. To change the colors, go to the “Colors” section of the plugin settings page.

Here, you can choose a light or dark color scheme for the toolbar. You can also choose custom colors for the toolbar background, text, and icons.

  • Select the “Scheme” drop-down and choose your preferred option to change the color scheme.
  • Click on the “Background Color” field and choose your preferred color to change the background color.
  • To change the text color, click on the “TextColor” field and choose your preferred color.
  • Click on the “Icon Color” field to change the icon color and choose your preferred color.

How to add custom buttons to the toolbar

You can also add custom buttons to the toolbar. Go to the “Buttons” section of the plugin settings page to do this.

Here, you can add a custom button by entering the HTML code for the button in the “Button HTML” field.

You can also choose where you want the button to appear in the toolbar. To do this, select the “Button Position” drop-down and choose your preferred option.

You can add as many custom buttons as you want. Just click the “Save Changes” button after adding each one.

How to change the label of the toolbar

By default, the label of the toolbar says “Accessibility Tools.” But you can change this if you want. To do so, go to the “Labels” section of the plugin settings page.

Here, you can change the text of the toolbar label by entering your preferred text in the “Toolbar Label” field.

You can also change the tooltip text when you hover over the toolbar label. To do this, enter your preferred text in the “Toolbar Tooltip” field.

Be sure to click the “Save Changes” button after changing any of the settings in this section.
